What is StrictlyHalaal.com

There was once a time when Muslims all over South Africa were confused and distraught. They could not decide what to eat, where to eat, how to get there & most importantly what is halaal & what is not? Then to the rescue, we set up StictlyHalaal.com.

Basically, its an online portal where the local Muslim community in SA will be able rate and review restaurants and businesses.

So it’s only Restaurants and other Eating Places?

Initially yes. However we thought why not include every halaal service? From events, health, finance, home to restaurants. Any Shariah based business or service offering.

But what is the difference between Halaal and Strictly Halaal?

No difference! We were just tired of Muslims going to non-halaal restaurants and indulging in non-halaal business & financial dealings. [May ALLAH forgive us first and then you].But honestly there is no difference. We are just trying to emphasize the importance and stress the point on trying to live the halaal way!

Is Strictly Halaal free?

Yes sure! Other than certain advertising features on the site, you can use the site for free. For business and restaurants owners.

Who uses Strictly Halaal?

Users who include:
1. Visitors from other places or who have just moved to a particular city who want to quickly get an insider's local perspective.
2. The Local Community who are always in the know about what's nice and happening in their city, and enjoy sharing this knowledge.
3. People who have visited a place or used a service — and want to share their real-life experiences and opinions with other brothers and sisters
4. Anyone who wants to find current and reliable reviews about restaurants, businesses and other services
5. Business & Restaurant owners will in future use Strictly Halaal to directly communicate & share feedback & other information

So it’s only Shariah based businesses, services and restaurants?

Yes! Definitely… No compromises!

Is Strictly Halaal for Cape Town only?

Nope. Strictly Halaal started by a couple of Cape Town “young entrepreneurs” but we would definitely like other cities to be involved – inshallah even countries in future. You can expect to find us in your city soon if we're not there already.
